Procedure Description:
As this lovely woman aged, she began to feel her nose was too large for her face. She wanted it to reflect the way she feels about herself and be a more refined, smaller nose that balanced with her features. Many people feel the nose grows over the years, however, this is not the case. While the nose might appear to be longer and bulkier, this is not due to cell growth, but rather from loss of support and dilation of the sebaceous glands in the skin. It is not uncommon for patients to request rhinoplasty to address the effects of aging on the nose. As can be seen in these images taken six months following surgery, the tip has been lifted and roundness refined while the overall nose has been made smaller and more youthful.
